The first ever Christian radio station in Ukraine was developed under the name "Emmanuel" in 2005. The station's goal is to bring to people age-old values found in human culture through music, poetry, literature, history, arts, and other areas of people's life based on principles of Christian morals.
The present situation of our society indicates that without having a spiritual revival there will be no healthy state or nation.
Therefore our radio station has taken a stand for morality and ethics and desires to expose the vast amount of social problems including: drug-addiction, alcoholism, prostitution, family dysfunction, street children and orphans, and pointing out the direction to find solutions.
The programming concept of the radio station provides for the following content in various formats: Children's programs, youth programs, cultural programs, musical programs, spiritual programs educational programs, and informational programs.
The Musical format is as follows: classical music, jazz, instrumental music, pop, rap, hip-hop music.
The types of programs include: live broadcasts, talk-shows, interviews, a call in hot-line, panel-games, news reports, weather forecasts, as well as interactive answers to listeners' questions.
Engaged in the development of the programs are qualified specialists- including scientists, psychologists, doctors, sociologists, teachers, and theologians
Any disrespectful expressions towards other denominations or their representatives are forbidden on Radio Emmanuel. We do not want our radio station to contribute to religious conflict, bad-mouthing, or interdenominational barriers that are artificially built by people. There is no room for politics at Radio Emmanuel. Advertising is restricted and used mainly for informing people about spiritual events in Kiev and other cities.
The radio station's slogan is- Light Radio, Light Music -which is our symbol of love, truth, and joy- in contrast to the immorality, vulgarity, wickedness, and ignorance that are unfortunately too often found in our society.
